Fire Safety and Prevention
Understanding the basic elements of fire will allow you to prevent fires from starting and be prepared to suppress a fire if you had to. Having an action plan when a fire starts can save a life. Time is of the essence to detect, report, and evacuate. Remember, Life trumps Property. There are three types of fire we will encounter the most:
A Fire= wood, paper, cloth, rubbish, and trash.
B Fire= flammable liquids, gasoline, oils, grease.
C Fire= Electrical, having a current
Three elements of fire are Oxygen, Fuel, and Heat
Take one element away, No Fire

PREPARE TO SHELTER IN PLACE
Training is the Equalizer
Get trained, and give yourself or someone else a chance to go home to their families. When we truthfully train for the time when the "crap hits the fan", the fear will not stop our vigilance because the training will take over.
